When I was playing around in Chrome's settings one day, I noticed the Omnibox setting and was excited about it. Pages now load before I even finish typing the urls or search terms. Here's how to enable it:
Nice, I liked this feature and it really works. I do not think that there is some high-tech, low-drag technology it is just a little extra on the text autofill in the address bar which presses enter. Surprisingly it is not annoying. Thanks.
Hrmm... I never noticed this before, but I will definitely be trying this out when I get around to it. I've been using Chrome for a little while now, but never noticed it. Albeit, I never really looked either. >.> I should dig around a bit and see what other juicy secrets lay beneath the surface.
Thanks for the suggestion; I myself prefer using Chrome and find it to be a faster and better browser experience compared to Firefox and Internet Explorer. However I'm not familiar at all with this "Omnibox" -- What exactly does it do, and how does it making browsing via chrome even faster?
@Pantsu - Chrome logs what you type and as you start typing search terms or uls, it fills out what it expects you to type and loads the web page while you're still typing, before you ever press enter. It does it quite well. You can learn more about Omnibox here: http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?answer=180655&hl=en
Cool! I didn't pay much attention to my settings in Chrome and had this one unchecked. I've just tried it out and it's a nice feature. Thanks for sharing!
